My Xbox360 Controller

Well, a couple of weeks back I suddenly got the crazy idea to go buy a xbox360 controller for my PC (yes, I do an unfortunate amount of impulse buying; but surprisingly often don’t regret it, my Razer Naga being a good case of this (might write post on that later)). After a quick and easy setup I was ready to hit the games.

I started off by buying the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga on steam. While this is a game I’ve previously played with a keyboard (well, I’ve played the old version, but this is pretty much the same), it was an interesting and surprisingly pleasant experience to try it with a xbox360 controller. While there were no real problems with playing it on the keyboard, this was much easier and smoother.

Next, I tried a bit of Assassin’s Creed 2, which as I’ve mentioned in my first post is made mainly for the controller and badly converted to keyboard. Couldn’t be bothered to play it that much, having not too long ago finished playing it, but from what I did try it seemed much better. Also considering trying it out in Batman: Arkham Asylum, think it would work extremely well there.

Currently using it in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, invaluable there, since the controller to keyboard conversion is really the stuff of nightmares in that game. Enjoying the game… though it is a tad on the annoyingly difficult side even on normal difficulty… at least for that type of game. I prefer games of that type to be more along the lines of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was a great hack ‘n slash game.

Recently saw the new Alice in Wonderland which despite is hugely famous cast was rather underwhelming. I wonder if Anne Hathaway’s White Queen was high throughout the film… I’m pretty sure she at least was very evil. Also saw the new Clash of the Titans which was pretty much exactly the thing I expected… a rather mindless action movie; but sometimes it feels good to see one of those.

Anyways, that’s it for now… next one in a couple of days, a couple of weeks… or worst case, in a couple of months. Next one will probably focus on my Razer Naga.
